Edible, delicious, delectable.
Rachel Langley is more than familiar with those three words in her line of work. After all, she spends her afternoons and evenings creating desserts so divine that your mouth will water and your taste buds will tingle.
They aren’t, however, the words she would have ever expected to think of when she locks eyes with a certain lawyer she knows only as Cole. With each encounter, the infuriatingly persistent man becomes more impossible to resist, and edible is the exact word that comes to mind. Crave, demand, covet.
Cole Madison knows exactly what he wants, and Rachel Langley is it. From the moment he spotted her at Whipped, he knew he wanted to grab hold and take a bite. However, the woman has enigmatic moves, avoiding him at every turn. But not for much longer.
Rachel’s time is up, and as far as Cole is concerned, he’s waited too long for a taste of what he desires. Nothing, including the woman herself, will stop him from consuming what he hungers for. The only question left is: Who will take the first bite?
♥My Thoughts♥
While I was reading Entice and getting a feeling for who might be the star of Ms. Frank's next book, I expected Cole and Rachel's story to be hot. Not just because the Exquisite has been hot, but because Cole was hot. In that dangerous, controlled sexy way. And when I saw Rachel meet him head on, I almost died with the book in my hand. Outrageous, sweet Rachel was into...kink? I never saw that coming. Edible has been a delight to read. Getting to really know Rachel, what makes her tick and see her fall so completely and irrevocably in love was a true delight. And Cole? What is there to say?
Cole: Le sigh. A hot, sexy, poised hero. Always in control, always so polished and buttoned up. But we get to see this entirely different side of Cole that made me bite my knuckles and use my ereader to fan myself with. He was...generous and loving. He had this sweet, vulnerable side to him that wasn't controlled so much as it was calm, which was not something I'd been expecting from this character. I think I expected him to be a little harder. But he blew me out of the water because in every way I can think of, he surprised me. He surprised Rachel too. And I love that he never for single moment hid from her, or from himself. When he knew what he wanted, he went after it. Unapologetically and without shame. I loved that strength about him. Most definitely an utterly devastating hero.
Rachel: We know something already about Rachel of course. I've always admired her character because she seemed to really own herself with her crazy hair and outfits. She wasn't a conformist and she was comfortable enough with herself to do her own thing. I really liked that about her. I had no idea though that this was...sad side to her. She always seemed so sassy and upbeat, and finding that out about her made me a little sad for her. But when she gave her into her deepest desires with Cole...well, that was Rachel coming into her own again. And letting Cole draw out the girl she'd always been. Rachel didn't run from how she felt about Cole. I was expecting her to (which is another thing I liked about this book, it was so not predictable) but she didn't. She let her heart decide and not her head, which just fit who she was perfectly.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Erotic, full of passion and romance. Full of characters who are vivid and situations that are honest to life, it's a wonderfully devastating read. I would like to thank Ella Frank for providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest read. It's a delectable read and quite possibly my favourite of the series.
